Day 42
Miles 0
You know how you smack your hands together to squash a mosquito? I dreamed that Aidan was doing that to catch rattlesnakes with his bare hands. Then he’d pull out a pocket knife and cut off their heads. There was a basket of puppies nearby and one of the snakes spit. Yellow venom on soft little puppy bellies. My Dad and I took the puppies one at a time down to the lake and washed them with shampoo. The puppies just loved their bath and they rolled on their backs all happy…
I slept in.
I was awake for about three seconds before my hand was in my food bag and I was stuffing food down my neck.
I stayed at the KOA until I started to get some looks, but I took another shower before I left. Walked to the library and blogged and then my amazing husband was there. Husband! Yay! Dogs! Yay!
We drove around for far too long looking for a campsite, but eventually found one off of a Forest Service Road.
We set up our deluxe camp for glamping, and had just a fantastic and wonderful day.

You’re getting closer and closer to Oregon (and me!), and I’m reading every single post watching your progress!! So exciting!
