The moose and her baby were right next to the guy’s tent. The next door neighbor guy who pulled in super late last night. We figured he was sleeping in and hoped he’d stay thataway. The moose and her kiddo finally went down to the creek and mucked around down there for a while.
We packed up but we couldn’t see how the guy got to his tent spot. There was marshland around it in every direction. Not wanting to get our feet wet became more important than warning Tent-Man about momma moose, so we stood on trail and yelled at his tent.

We found out that Tent Man was actually named Crawl, and he loved the story of how the moose were hanging out around his tent and told the story to anyone who would listen after that. Turns out he got his feet all wet getting to his camp, too.
And all day…
It was all Wide Meadows and watchin’ the streams roll by…
